HFL to provide training and advice on fund operations for the first cohort of the first fully funded programme for VCs based in Europe.
HFL is excited to be providing training and advice on fund operations for the first cohort of Europe’s first VC accelerator.
Mountside Ventures is launching the first fully funded programme for VCs based in Europe.
The Emerging VC Manager Programme is targeting 15 – 20 exceptional managers headquartered in Europe, with a focus on those investing at pre-seed to Series A stage and raising anything from their first to third fund.
HFL’s managing director Matt Westgarth-Smith said: ‘We’re delighted to be involved with this brilliant initiative and are excited for the opportunity to support the next cohort of Europe’s leading emerging managers."
Successful applicants will get 6 days of workshops over a 12 week period, providing structured support and at least 10 hours of one-to-one mentoring from founding partners behind some of Europe's most successful VCs and LPs.
The programme consists of LP matchmaking events across Europe, world-class mentoring from LPs & established VCs and fundraising workshops. Is completely free to attract the best fund managers.
Mountside Ventures said: “There are thousands of startup incubators, accelerators & founder communities in Europe, but there is very little support for VCs. Yet, raising a fund is more time-consuming, expensive and complex, even under favourable market conditions. This is why for the past few years, we’ve supported the ecosystem at the VC-LP level without monetising it.”
There are approximately 2,500 active VCs in Europe of which only 275 have raised their third fund, and at least 500 are trying to launch each year. This programme is, therefore, applicable to the majority of funds in Europe.
